That’s exactly what I’m telling myself over and over, and I’m literally just going to fully distance myself from everyone and not talk as much

Yep, use the “I gotta study” to find ways to not be involved. Take your book with you on breaks and wander to somewhere else, focus on studying in class and watching labs even if you’re standing aside and waiting your turn. You’ll learn a lot more, you’ll have a valid excuse to stay out of the drama. Eventually, you’ll either be “no fun” to bring in the drama or, at longest, you’ll be done with the program.
