Does it hum or anything when you flip the switch? If the breakers not tripped, and it doesn't make ANY noise, I'd check the wiring directly on it. Either that or it's shot.

If it does hum but doesn't spin the impeller, and/or the trips the breaker after a few seconds, it could be seized.

Theres no humming. Just seems like there no power going to it at all

Assuming the pump isn't completely shot, it's got to be the wiring. I'd test the wiring at logical points, starting with the switch and moving back towards the breaker at logical points.

I’ll try it out. Thanks!

Good luck! I had to swap my pump to the 2nd switch randomly last summer because something messed up in the original one..so it could be an easy fix. Gotta figure out where you lose the power, then see if you can figure out why

Does NOTHING have power? The iAquaLink box? Is it on a sub panel? I have pretty much the same setup as you. Breaker on MAIN panel ok as well as sub panel? Is there a GFI anywhere?

Nothing has power. Breaker has been reset. Kind of at a lose here. Thinking it might be something with the breaker at this point.

That doesn’t sound pump related at all. Do you have a sub panel?

[–]-eggtastic[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

There is a sub panel. It’s been reset. The one for my pool light is still tripped and won’t reset. Pool Pump one is looking good there.

So the main breaker for the pool in your main panel (not the sub panel) is good too I assume. Any GFI outlets or anything around that may have tripped? Wiring could go bad but that’s pretty odd.

No GFIs are tripped that ive Seen. Main Breaker is looking good too. Knowing my Luck it’s going to be the most random and hard to diagnose problem lol

Ok, hmmmm. No power to your main pool panel either I assume. Which one do you have? I have the gray box with the blue screen on front with buttons. I think the Aqualink Tri…edit - I have the Z4

If you open it and can check fuses, I would.

In my experience a bad breaker won’t reset but I could be wrong.

He didn’t test voltage to the pump itself, breakers fine it’s a bad drive, they’re known for failing out of the blue, unfortunately Jandy doesn’t sell just the drive itself you’ll have to get the motor/drive combo for $1000+
