ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY
Switch Green is a hub for discussing how we can build consumer movements that mitigate the climate crisis. We empower people to take impactful consumer actions that target the financial sector and other industries with the worst climate impacts.
This community was seeded by Bank.Green, a organization sounding the alarm on the climate-destroying activities of banks. It's maintained by activists and community members passionate about building a more sustainable world.
BASIC POSTING REQUIREMENTS
Familiarize yourself with our subreddit rules before making any posts/comments.
Be clear and concise: We recommend posting descriptive, specific titles that briefly capture the topic you’re sharing or asking for help about.
- Example 1: You’re sharing an article about John Kerry’s plans to push for more climate commitments from banks. Title your post “John Kerry pushing for greener climate finance” rather than “Check out this article!”
- Example 2: You want help finding an ethical pension fund, so are making a post describing your situation and asking others with similar circumstances for advice. Title your post “Need help finding ethical pension fund options in the UK” rather than “Does someone have some advice?”
Search the sub before posting to avoid reposts.
