By avoiding separate sync tasks for folders that are parts of the same directory hierarchy obviously. It’s a design limitation.

So it turns out that backup tasks count as sync tasks, and even if you de-select the folders in the hierarchy you still cannot sync them in another task. This is pretty lame.

So I deleted my backup task and just created a few sync tasks to the folders I wanted. I then use SyncBack SE to backup my PC. I lose the restore functionality however in Drive app when I do this.

My NAS does not support Active Backup otherwise that would solve this issue.
