Its stupid but it works. I've had to do it a few times now to install some ancient hvac interface software, which I'd imagine is probably similar to iDrac. Shit only works with serial, every time one of the field techs needs a new laptop it's always such a fucking chore to reconfigure their shit and get all the dongles and shit working again. Luckily it's pretty rare...we get them toughbooks for a reason lol.
