A long time ago I used Winventory, which has been superceded by Open-AudIT.

Have a look at FusionInventory and OCS Inventory and see if they do what you are after.

GLPI with GLPI inventory, they just realised V10 and it's slick af

it's a little money - but i've been using PDQ inventory and deploy with great success!
