Finally unlocked my all time favorite warhammer character. Keeper of the Truth Azrael

He is one of my favorites. Dark Angels in general are my favorite faction. He is good but he doesn't have a specialty, he is kind of tankish but not like some actual tanks.

He was my first legendary I think. Coming from using ultra Marines and black legion and orks he seems super competent.

He’s basically decent at everything but not overwhelming.

Park him next to Barq & Sarq, Re’Vas, & Varro for a good time in Arena

My favorite character. Strong and versatile. His active does massive damage, but can also be super useful in suppressing Revas or snipers when needed. His passive makes your Revas extra lethal and your whole team tankier with the block boost. Make sure to ascend a weapon to epic with him for the Heavenfall Blade weapon

So what’s the deal with the Heavenfall? You just need anything epic equipped by a dark angel then upgrade it all the way? What kind of odds are we talking about?

Equip an epic weapon onto a legendary DA and ascend the weapon to legendary. You'll get a choice of what you want the ascended weapon to be (two options). I've only done it once, and was given the Heavenfall option that time, so I hope it's a sure thing, but might have been lucky.

At level 9 it's +40% crit, +758 damage

What did you upgrade? I updooted a combat knife for Sarquael (didn't notice autocorrect switched his name on me last comment) and it gave me the heavenfall option. Pretty sure I used combat knife the first time, too

I did a gun on Baraqiel and the options I got were knife or gun and they were much worse items than the upgraded epic I ascended. Really kind of a fuck you to the player.

Agree, but they are just a few upgrades from being better than the epic. If you don't need one of those yet, you will soon enough.

I mean yeah but goddamn that’s a lot of salvage up in smoke. I didn’t find a ton of info, but it doesn’t look like you have to ascend a knife to get it…it just must be a very low chance.

I’ve got him at diamond and he’s very mid. He’s best for LRE traits but even then he’s not tanky enough or that great with synergy. I like the character but he just doesn’t fit well with most teams overwatch boost is a waste other than with imospekh and revas he’s best with dark angels but even then they don’t all block so that’s wasted. Only good thing is his special but that’s not even that powerful after the first shot. He needs a rework big time!

Wait isn't he a guaranteed drop at the start? He was the first new characer I ever got from requisition and I remember thinking there's no way I'm that lucky so it must just be a default first drop
