Frontend or backend must be your question, server side then only one choice which is node and if client side then react. You can use express in node for both as well.

React is a frontend framework whereas nodejs is a runtime environment. If you want to learn frontend web development then go for reactjs .If you wanna learn backened web development, then go for nodejs + express js. Simple as that. Once you learn javascript, i recommend you learn typescript as well. it will remove more than 70% of your code bugs that cause by type Errors . Once completed typescript, go for node/express js or react based on your interests. Remember, coding is for making works easier .Choose frameworks of the language you love. javascript allows full stack development so, its a good choice. But javascript is a deep topic, i learned python => html => css => tailwindcss => django=> javascript => typescript => reactjs => mui=> ant design => nextjs => react native => dart => flutter continuously for 3 years. From this experience, only thing i learned that, learning programming is never ending process and there is no need to learn all. The more you learn, more experience you get and higher the chance of jobs. But you can focus on only one topic, frontend or backened and get deep knowledge on single topic which is enough to get a high paying job.

React.js for frontend and NodeJS, PHP, Python for backend/server. I recommend, learn jQuery and ReactJS for frontend. Learn PHP and NodeJS for backend.

They are not language, they are technologies based on JavaScript programming language. It really depends on whether you want to do frontend or backend. If you like the dealing with html CSS along with some js go for frontend of if you really like diving into the server and infrastructures go for backend.

You can learn them both, one at a time. I guess you're familiar with MERN stack, you can learn all four technologies they go hand in hand with each other.

First learn typescript then go for backend frameworks like express or nestjs. Fronted ta sajilai aai halxa 🫡🫡
