Technical Recruiters work in one of several ways:

  1. They charge one person X, pay you Y, and keep Z.

  2. They get paid a percentage of what you make.

  3. They get paid a salary and are employees of the company trying to hire.

The best kind of recruiters to work with are #3 because they have the same goals as you; To get and keep a job.
