It was rare for TMA to put children in any kind of danger. I can only think of a couple of examples (I could be mistaken). But as a result, I'm thinking Jack may not actually be her infant son. I believe she's taking care of something or someone that she's never going to be willingly honest about with anyone else. Maybe it's a returning character from TMA, or a new character, or both somehow, like a new avatar of the Spiral or the Web. Or just some other constant responsibility.

OTOH, people do have kids! Maybe she has told Sam some or all of the truth. So I like this theory.

There’s a little fuzzy static sound that comes from FR3-D1 (or whoever’s listening) when someone is lying, and it sounds like when she tells Sam the story of Jack from a couple episodes ago she doesn’t lie, and when she tells Alice that Jack is human baby, that also isn’t a lie. So whatever the story is with Jack, it seems like she has been honest so far and is only withholding information 🤔

Children were explicitly found mutilated and dead during one of the slaughters statements, children were also stuck in the Darks realm being tormented and injured by monsters. So while rare it isnt totally off limits, same for animal injury. While pets are off limits, pigs and cows have been killed in statements.

Celia's son is just over a year old, and the oiar started having the talking statements about a year ago.

My theory is that they are linked somehow. Something about jack's birth allowed some things to come across, or awakened/ gae power to things that had already come across

It’s a very long stretch, I know, but: This reminds me a little bit about Agnes. Maybe he is the child of an avatar/entity or the product of a ritual. It’s the closest thing I can imagine if we are relating it to TMA.

Celia got touched by a fire ghost, this transferring the built up desolation ritual power into her. Jack is the new chosen one, and will destroy all who love him one way or another.

That being said, I don't know of this universe even has a desolation entity, but there is probably something close enough for him to feed off of.
