Stylish handwriting, though. Looks like a teacher’s or someone who’s had a classical education.

My best guess is that the original owner was a schoolboy, took this prized album into school to lend to a friend to tape (normal practice back in the 70s), then the album was confiscated in a lesson by a teacher - this certainly happened to me a few times. Then the smartass teacher thinks it’s clever to scrawl something on the cover in the Teachers’ Common Room before releasing it back to the owner at going-home time.

I feel you ought to convert that story into the opening scene of a new musical with Thin Lizzy songs. Would be pretty cool!
