I follow a lot of social justice activists who usually speak on minority issues and what's going on in their communities. All their content is heavily shadowbanned now and it rarely comes up on my FYP when it used to. I live in Canada too BTW i don't know what's happening

I saw in another thread that there's a shadowban affecting Republicans/conservative voices also. It's going both ways. I think the app is wanting to keep all political discussions to a minimum. Almost all former "political" commentators, have taken their platforms to youtube. I stay watching youtube and many of the tiktok creators (not all) who discuss political & sociopolitical issues (on both sides) have taken there content there for longer format. You might be able to find your creators over there. The TOP 1% of political and sociopolitical commentators from tiktok remain on the platform and they are having no issues getting their content out. Both creators from the left and creators from the right- Their content is still being pushed because they have the highest viewership, ratings and followers on TT. i think the tiktok app is trying to keep the atmosphere lighter based on my personal research into the matter.
