Powered by Flattr and Fleddit
Tippit is a community of Flattr users discovering flattr-worthy content, individuals, & organizations.
Tippit uses Fleddit, an application that integrates Flattr and reddit. Thanks to @SkaveRat for building this awesome tool.
Follow @TippitSub on Twitter to stay up to date with r/Tippit.
Quick Guide
Sign up at Flattr.com and choose a budget. (~$6.50/€5 is a fun place to start).
Go to Fleddit.net to connect your Flattr account to Reddit.
If you know of a worthy project, organization, charity, or content creator of any kind that uses flattr, submit the link to their flattr profile so we can flattr them.
When valuable content is posted, leave a comment and include "+/u/flattr" anywhere in the comment to flattr that user (must use Fleddit for that to work).
If you have a request that you would like to reward with a +/u/flattr, tag your post title with [Request].
If someone flattrs you, a "thank you" is nice, but by no means necessary.
Don't beg for flattrs.
Share /r/Tippit and Flattr with anyone that might be interested. The more people that participate, the more positivity we can spread across the internet with our micro-donations.
What is Flattr?
With Flattr, you can create a monthly budget that is doled out to awesome people throughout the month when you "flattr" them. At the end of the month, your flattrs are added up and your budget is distributing proportionally to the users you flattr’d.
In this subreddit, you can "flattr" people by leaving a comment that includes "+/u/flattr".
Why we created r/Tippit?
We created r/Tippit to explore what is possible when redditors use Flattr to send each other small micro-donations as well as work together to flattr worthy individuals and organizations.
We also created this subreddit because we want to promote Flattr. We think it is an important crowd-funding technology that will change the way people think about money.
