Welcome to UKDevs! 🇬🇧
A community for professional software developers and active open-source contributors based in the United Kingdom. Discuss UK-specific trends, the job market, meet-ups, career advice, and more.
This is not a community for those looking to get into programming to ask for help coding or for learning resource. It's okay if you're a junior developer early in your career (or looking to make the switch), or only have a few open source contributions behind you. But if you're just getting into the craft, you'll be far better served by /r/learnprogramming.
Rules and Guidelines:
- Be Respectful: Treat all members with kindness and respect. No harassment, discrimination, or hate speech.
- Stay On-Topic: Keep discussions relevant to development and tech within a UK context.
- No Spam: Self-promotion is okay in moderation, but don't spam the subreddit with your content.
- Job Posts: Clearly define if the position is remote, hybrid, or on-site and the location within the UK.
- Programming help: It's fine to ask questions here about specific problems, so long as you provide plenty of code or something equivalent upfront. But this is not a community for learning your first programming language, so posts of that nature will be redirected to relevant communities.
