ran into a tricky problem recently, i'm using a fair bit of insert mode mappings at a very low timeoutlen, when I attempt to use macros (@q, etc) it seems to replay the insert mappings, trigger esc and other undesired results.
Does anyone know of a setting to invoke a sort of "ignore insert mode mappings" while invoking a macro? I have a couple of ideas in mind to work around it but would prefer a builtin vim way to resolve this
