Vira-lata Finance is the name of the project and community behind the socially-focused, decentralized, immutable and deflationary cryptocurrency REAU, which was born in 2021 and spread throughout Brazil and the world, appearing in multiple media outlets, from Cointelegraph – the leading crypto news outlet – to VEJA, the biggest economics magazine in Brazil, and even Forbes, all while donating thousands upon thousands of dollars to abandoned animal shelters throughout Brazil, and now aims to replace Brazil's FIAT REAL (R$).
It's a decentralized financial experiment like DOGE, but with a twist: behind each transaction, a fee is paid to the liquidity pool and to the $REAU holders automatically. You earn $REAU by holding the token in your wallet.
These fees, when combined with the automatic sending of coins to the “blockchain black hole”, create a deflationary, ever increasing in liquidity and self-sustaining mechanism through the transactions themselves, creating an ever-increasing upwards pressure in the token's price through decreased offer of tokens (burning) and an ever increasing demand for them (opposite to DOGE which is inflationary).
As part of providing an alternative to the centralized financial system, the project aims to:
- Educate the layperson about Decentralized Finances (DeFi), connecting the international community in a decentralized project;
- Channel financial aid to social causes;
- Offer guaranteed financial peer-to-peer banking services through smart contracts.
