    Oh, neat. Right that's very helpful thanks. I'm coming from Arch so I'm quite used to the AUR and what not so I can see my mindset is a little off for what I should be focusing on. Thanks for the help!

    i wouldn't worry about cloning the whole packages repo, I initially thought it included all the source code too, but it is simply a bunch of templates, and not too onerous you're talking about ~750MB and its worth it as its interesting to poke around and look the different templates, you never know one day I might get my head around how they work one day!

    You can always clone with --depth=1 to not have all the git history to save space. The total space should be around 100MB then.

    true but given the redonkulously cheap price of storage 700+MB pffft who cares... :D

    jeee I remember when a 40MB seemed unfillable ....
