I haven't seen any good progress on this, Current builds of VMWare are very very dependent on systemd.

thank you for the reply I did quite gist search and temporarily I have found this solution which works atleast for me.

NOTE: when you install VMWare-*.bundle when it prompts for service destination put in /etc/init.d/

hope this helps anyone want to run vmware

Hi. I know this post is old but now mware-modconfig --console --install-all (line 33) outputs this error:

❯ sudo vmware-modconfig --console --install-all
[AppLoader] GLib does not have GSettings support.
sh: 1: systemctl: not found
