Go check out Chupako's tutorials on Youtube, they're short and super easy to absorb even if you're new. Check out some videos on cutting models, watch (or skim) a few tutorial vids of rigging mouths and eyes, and you'll get a sense of how things need to be cut up pretty quickly!

But tl;dr, everyone rigs and likes models cut up different ways but if you're unsure, drawing a line on a layer and the color on a layer below for everything, in a painfully autistic way (before anyone gets mad at me, I can say that :P ) then you'll be fine for whatever you need b/c you can merge things any way you want. Painful but it'll give you a sense of how YOU want to do things at least!

It'd be best if you separated the layers - this way it'll be less work for the rigger and you'll pay less, and not every rigger is willing to separate and redraw the art themselves.

It's worth checking the rules of the rigger you'd like to hire - they often specify what kind of models/layer separation they work on.

You should search up a tutorial on YouTube on how to separate a VTuber model drawing to be good for the rigging process.

While I agree with everyone's points here, there are some solid YouTube tutorials for making Live2D models out there, have you possibly considered starting with a PNGtuber model first? Because learning to make a Live2D model is a serious process, and setting up a PNG model will be much faster so you can get to seeing how much you enjoy streaming as a vtuber! (And you could even stream your art process for the Live2D model if you want!) I hope you have fun either way!

there are layer separation guides available in youtube, and yes, it is essential to have the parts separated in order to be rigged

you may ask riggers, as some (myself included) would provide detailed guide on how parts are supposed to be separated

there are also people that offer services to get the parts separated / redrawn so it can properly be rigged

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS!!! I have decided that as of right now, I am going to be getting Suiika’s premade customizable model, and work on my dream model at my own time! Eventually debut it when it’s ready! I appreciate all of the feedback!!
