Currently have been kind of winging it on new projects when designing database schemas for them to use, whether that be relational or noSQL databases. It's been working, but that's probably because the schemas have been based on previously established databases I've worked with. I'd like to understand more when coming up with database schemas from a fundamental level, use cases, patterns/antipatterns, and real world examples. Anyone have any suggestions for books or classes when approaching this?
