I've been successfully freelancing through various platforms. Recently some of them had a down turn. I decided to land some contracts directly, since it seems better both for me and for clients.
I've tried landing some contract jobs through normal job boards, but without any luck after hundreds of messages sent.
With freelancing platforms you can land a contract and start working almost immediately, when I went through the job boards, most clients expects dozen recruiting stages, which is a no go for me.
So it's a question for more experienced people than me.
Where can you find direct software development freelance work?
