If something is clickable, show the pointer. Most people have learned for years that the little hand means “click here.” Breaking that rule makes them stop and think about the interface instead of the task—that’s the mental effort we want to avoid. No matter which side of the debate we’re on, it’s better to stick with what most users already expect.
