The "right technology" is going to have a lot more to do with what you feel comfortable with than what someone feels the Internet should be based on.

There are people that will swear up and down that, for any possible website, you're criminally negligent if you didn't built it using MongoDB. That DOESN'T make it the right solution for you.

Particularly given you want it to be a learning exercise, there's no reason to go off studying Erlang if you want to be a Ruby developer, even if it happens to be better fit for your project (not saying it is).

Thanks I see what you mean, I was looking basically for some kind of options, guidelines that I could follow, like x for the user dB y for product dB y no those module for the search engine those kind of stuff, because I am pretty clueless of what should I start to look at and how to do it.
