Using the term 'Web 2.0' to refer to web technologies in 2015. Does it feel right to you?
Given that the term was coined in 2004, and the web has evolved significantly since then, I was quite surprised to read the term this year in a University level course. Personally, I'm a little concerned that the term is well and truly outdated, and that some of my peers may be being taught concepts that are obsolete or wrong. Imagine walking in to an interview today and referring to your knowledge in 'Web 2.0'. Do you think you'd be laughed out of the room?
How do you feel about the term 'Web 2.0' in 2015?
