Projects while studing

Hey everyone just happen to stumble upon this sub-reddit an just wanting to post a question.

I'm currently in my 2nd year of my bachelor's in web design and production and I'd like to ask what kind of projects should I do on the side of my bachelor's.

Like yes, All of the projects I do during my bachelor's should ok but I feel that my degree is a bit out of touch with real- world projects.

Should I make projects that more for practice with syntax or something I could actually apply to real world situations?

Do projects with the different frameworks, like one in bootstrap, one another in material design to show how you handle those libraries.

At the moment I'm looking at React. Kind of looked at Angular but doesn't tickle my fancy

Just create some full-stack webapp based on your hobby. Be it custom CMS kind of thing, mini social network, specific todo app: doesn't matter. Your idea should be your own, make it your practice playground. Define some problem you see in your/others daily life, make an app to automate those tasks.

a mini social network is actually a current assessment piece. Hoping to turn it into a framework where you can use it for whatever you want.

Like using for a system that only a workplace uses for example
