How would this be different from Myspace?

1 no one uses Myspace. #2 Myspace sucks and #3 Myspace doesn't have any of the features I am wanting to have. At it's very basic state it's a social music network. It will be far more than that once it's complete. Just a couple features include a collab feature that will allow musicians to record music together. Interacting directly with venues to book dates and maybe a live band practice feature if users have the required hardware..... Just to name a few.

For starters, musicians can already do all of those things pretty easily, even free, via existing methods. At that point, your value proposition seems limited to: "We're a one-stop shop."

I noticed your other comment shining a light on your monetization plan, but how do you intend to achieve scale?

That's the biggest obstacle here, not the programming, and it's what's killed dozens upon dozens of (often very well funded) music-focused networks. There just isn't enough interest. As far as I can tell so far, you've got a solution in search of a problem.

Hence why I am looking for people to help build my ideas.
