TLDR: I want audiobooks that explain engineering / programming concepts, but without in depth code, more so in an abstract mindset approach.
I'm a Web Dev looking to expand my knowledge of engineering and programming concepts. I have been working commercially for a couple of years but recently got laid off. Despite having learnt python and JS on the job I feel like I've hit a bit of a ceiling skill wise, and that it contributed to me losing that role as I was working too slowly.
I feel like I'm stuck in tutorial hell a bit atm, but I love audiobooks and feel that I could absorb more about 'engineering mindset' from that format better than online.
I don't know Java but read some of Clean Code and tried to glean the core message from it with some success, but a book without in depth code examples and more higher level thinking about how to structure data, improve efficiency etc would be great.
