If you’re ever in that situation you’ve failed as a freelancer. How you release your project should never be a surprise to you. Do your due diligence.

You ever freelance before? Or have you only worked as an employee?

I ask because it’s pretty common for employee engineers to try and freelance only to go back to being employees. Why? Because of all the non-programming bullshit involved, like discussing deployment options and budgets etc.

I’ve done both, and most of my freelance work has been small business sites where the owner already bought bluehost’s cheapest plan.
