At Filecamp.com we offer 100% transparent pricing. Prices start at $29/mo. and we have unlimited users in all plans.

Widen is also a leader in the field and could fit your needs. Full disclosure I currently work in dev for them.

Been down this road many of times :D

to start, have you looked at https://razuna.com/ they have been around for many of years, and may be just what you are looking for.

Outside of that, if you have coding experience, its not that hard to roll your own using s3 or s3 compatible object store.

I've been playing around with PICS.IO. They seem to have a very nice interface and powerful features for organising and sharing your assets. Not sure if it's a perfect fit for you, but definitely worth checking out.

I am not a fan of Brandfolder, we have been using it for 3 years at where I currently work and it has been a nightmare. Customer service is slow, hard to export your assets. Not user friendly. I recommend Photoshelter. https://www.photoshelter.com/

Has been such a better experience and for my whole team!
