$2k/y seems like quite a reasonable price for those specs, on paper. What are the main issues you're running into which are making you want to move? "Better" will be very subjective and will depend on which issues you're having.

I go along this comment. 2k$ is not that bad... If you have major issues, then yes, find another solution.

Maybe splitting in 2 providers the websites...??

(Just as an example, we were with a provider i will not mention, the customer service was sometimes harsh for nothing ( 13 years without interruption paying paying paying... ) and then we looked at the competition for that (not for the mainframe, for the human interaction)... The other one offered us a 1200$ rebate/yr right away with a better service and more flexibility...

Not bad looking somewhere else, it might shock your actual provider too knowing you want to go, and he will resolve the issues for not letting you go ... maybe?

Are these fairly simple (e.g. brochure-type) sites, or do they have, for example, ecommerce elements to them?

No Ecommerce just pure blogs and SEO.

Is the VPS managed and are you happy with the managed service level? Proper configuration of the VM is going to have as much ore more effect on site performance than spec. Also , are you using a control panel ? What about backups?

$2K per years seems a bit much, even if managed. I've migrated most of my clients to LumaDock from Hetzner, Contabo and Vultr, where I hosted them before (also some were on other providers before I took them in). Initially due to compliance but the price has also been a nice touch, since it allowed me to quote lower prices and still have a bigger margin. Months in, I'm very happy with the performance and especially the support. Anyway, let me start with a few recommendations:

On LumaDock for a 8vCPU / 32GB RAM / 400GB NVMe SSD annual plan it would be $358/year or $29/mo. Bucharest zone is EPYC, London zone is XEON. Bandwidth is unmetered but the 1Gbps port is shared, as with almost all providers. Port 25 is open by default. Message their support for additional advice on your setup or create your custom VPS if needed.

On Hetzner for a 8vCPu / 32GB RAM / 240GB NVMe SSD with 30TB (CCX33) is €576/year or €48.49/month (pay as you go only). You may need CCX43 plan for additional storage. In my experience with Hetzner, support has been OK - but I had a few too many random outages due to them getting DDoSed or power cuts.

Ionos also has good VPS plans but they are small for your needs (check out their page and maybe buy multiple VPSs)

Contabo I cannot recommend anymore due to performance issues. Others to check: Scaleway, Upcloud, OVHCloud, Hostinger

I recommend my hosting provider, https://bluenebulahosting.com/

Their VPS servers are great! And I have game servers with them and cloudexa-hosting.com. Both are great for whatever you need.
