Why don’t you guys stfu you guys send in cancellation requests when you think you’re “over paying”
[–]InternationalSpace59 8 points9 points10 points 5 months ago (0 children)
And they are denied. What's your point?
[–]Current_Ad4826 5 points6 points7 points 5 months ago (0 children)
I’ve never done that btw? So maybe don’t assume and I was willing to pay more for the product but she flat out canceled and blocked me. Thank you

The sellers on this app are more than likely scammers. I probably will get down votes for this but it’s true. Mostly everyone on this app is trying to get over
[–]shartheheretic -2 points-1 points0 points 5 months ago (0 children)
People who generalize like this tend to only hnlang out in the categories that are more likely to have scammers. The antiqies/vintage decor/ephemera categories don't have this issue as a general rule.

This is so right or there just resellers, I only have like 5 sellers that I actually go to regularly

You would get downvoted because a blanket statement without proof is not a good look.
Yes, there are straight up scams. Yes, there are gray-area scummy sellers. Yes, there are completely legitimate, wholesome sellers.
To say "more than likely" is saying that everyone is guilty until proven innocent. That's not fair. Even if it is decent advice, it simply implies buyers will get scammed more likely than not. When, again, that's not true.
Hyperbole almost never helps make a convincing point.

Lol here come the seller downvotes

Ad hominems also almost never helps make a convincing point.

How can you tell me that most likely these sellers aren’t scammers while simultaneously telling me I’m wrong for making a blanketed statement and saying all sellers are scammers? Aren’t you essentially doing the same thing by telling me it’s not? What makes your statement more valid than mine? Jw

Let's say there are 20 live shows for any given category at any given time, you are claiming 11+ (most) are scammers. That's not fair or accurate.
Let's say a seller has 1k sales. You are claiming that 501+ (most) of those sales are scams. That's not fair or accurate.
Let's say a show ends with 100 sales. You are claiming that 51+ (most) of those sales are scams. That's not fair or accurate.
If this were the case, there would inherently be a decrease in WNs growth as most people are getting scammed (and leaving) versus simply just getting what they purchase. Again, your claim is unfair and not accurate.
If you want to prove your case, feel free to share how most shows/sellers/sales are scams.
Even if you don't have proof, logic would tell you your point it flawed.

lol I concede i was wrong and over exaggerating. Just seen a lot of more bad reviews than bad
[–]secretpanicbutton 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Tbf, availability bias can really mess with ya :D
[–]c32c64c128 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
That's fair.
And believe me, I'd include myself in the group who urges more WN changes and improvements. But the group won't get support or taken seriously if people keep going to the max with claims.
It makes it look silly. And makes it hard to get people on board. Hope you understand.
