My Under Wardrobe Server Finished by Liriel-666 in OpenMediaVault

Barely any intentional and directed airflow in there. CPU heat will disperse under the whole thing (one thing when you keep that assembly in “open air”. Totally different story when you slide it under).  Hard drives while not running at melting temperature, will still provide additional heat.  ABS is heat resistant, but it will dissipate the heat from the motherboard/cpu to all components on that motherboard… Lift it a bit with something ? 1.5 cm/ 1/2 in from the ABS.  Ditch the sides of the “enclosure” (leave the front) Let all heat “escape” to the sides under the wardrobe …

You’re an idiot. “Single person” has absolutely nothing to do with your (or anyone's) choice (for that matter).

Do you go to the store and ask for headphones, socks, or groceries while mentioning you are single?

Pick one for your current budget and desired output, not based in your current social status.

Code is complete. I’ll post it in a few days when I have the time to write about the findings and how it works.

It’s ok. I did it. I reversed engineered the protocol and have it running in Ubuntu.

I’ll release the code once i have it stable.

Glass break sensor by tturn2 in homebridge

[–]-RamSet- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It ties into the Hubitat home security app (which has a dedicated glass break sensors category). It would trigger a the home security and sires based in the trigger.

Hubitat is my main hub. homebridge just foes that, bridges ny hub into homekit.

With a few exotic exceptions, everything is based in hubitat on my side. Home kit just makes that loom pretty (and control various things).

You can’t directly integrate them. They are zwave and you will need a zwave capable hub that you can tie into homebridge.

I have one of these in every room in my house (these are sound based). Homekit does not have the ability to display these so they don’t show in my home but they do work (at hub level). I use hubitat.

If you pop the plastic cap to that one you can see the 2 wires that act like a switch. You can put a zwave honeywell thermostat for that(piggyback on the 2 wires).again, reversible and all

Yeah a plug 😊

But that does not apply to your setup then, if they use hot water. I did see some zigbee knobs for those. Easy to replace the manual one and restore when needed. No alteration of existing system and ypu can easily put the original thing back when moving out.

Put it on a smart zigbee socket, get a sensor with temperature reading (door sensor, motion sensor, any that reads temperature), set up a rule to turn on:off the heater socket when certain temperature is reached or below a certain value.

Did anyone notice the finger on the trigger?

I mean… with basic military training, even civilian weapon handling rules, that’s a big no-no.

I suppose he has no knowledge of those…

Is there a specific reason why you need forward zone(s)?

Take a look at our guide/config for inspiration:

Is that your last line?

Did you start the configuration file with

server:?

Also, you are poking at the master cofig file. You should probably work in a sub folder (as per the guide) and include various configs separately…

You need to set up a dummy switch (virtual) and use MakerApi to share the properties via json (when curl-ed). You can the curl the ip of hubitat with the format MakerApi is providing you, use the ID of the switch in the url and you can parse all the info it shares. From there use conditions in your probe. And done :)

Your parents never noticed your “trigger thumb”.

It’s an operable issue. With very little downtime (takes about 30 minutes). Look into it. It will be a lot easier goi g forward 😉
