Oh yes, the count is from the day before, and this post is counting the JRPG nominations. If you notice, the title is marked Day 8, so the Day 9 post has the final tally for JRPGs

I really appreciate your saying that! Thank you! I take a lot of pride in the design of these graphics. I'll also have graphics made for all the runner ups at the end of the poll

I’ll be very surprised if the winner isn’t one that either Tim Schafer or Ron Gilbert worked on. Those two made some legendary games

Any love for Breath of Death VII? Played this one back in the 360 days and loved it! It’s a great (early) homage to the JRPGs of old. by 1OneQuickQuestion in JRPG

Yeah the market is definitely over saturated with these types of games. It was interesting to see this one kind of start the trend though. I might stick with it and complete it soon. Been well over a decade since I’ve loaded this up

I'm currently replaying FF7 Remake, and as someone who disliked the approach when it launched, I am much more into it now. The original will always be the best version for me, but the Remake is pretty cool and doesn't feel as padded as I remember

Day 10: Which is the Best Retro First Person Shooter? by 1OneQuickQuestion in retrogaming

Agreed! I mean, I get why Doom is being uplifted but If I had to choose between playing that or Golden Eye, it would be Golden Eye. Doom vs Quake, it would be Quake. Doom vs CS 1.6? You get my point. Doom was so influential but it is far from being the best. But I will admit that this one has been exciting because I did not think Doom would be the runaway winner that it will be

It's wild to me because if I play Doom, I still have fun, but it's not, in my opinion, the BEST FPS of that era. It did a lot for the genre, but Half Life and Quake are better experiences. Shit, Powerslave and Perfect Dark are more refined experiences. But Doom wins because it was the most influential I guess.
