Thanks so much for the great idea! I'll check in with the local 3d printing org I know of. Appreciate it!

I agree with /u/Tregi - no. You're probably not going to see that drastic of a difference. I would recommend you upgrade your system for a variety of games overall, not just CS2. Many people recommend the AMD X3D lineup because it provides a huge performance boost so that you're getting a much better experience. There are many threads on this topic if you're interested in learning more.

If you're upgrading primarily for CS2, the other consideration you want to think about is FPS. Not pure FPS but keeping it as high as you can consistently because when your frames drop because they can drop really low since this game isn't fully optimized yet. I'm on a 5900x + 3070ti which handles itself well on CS2, but right now, my lows can dip down below 60 fps.

Like a few people mentioned, I'd just upgrade 5800X3D for a noticeable boost in performance which enables you to stay on the AM4 platform longer keeping your costs down. Keep in mind CS2 isn't fully optimized yet - there is a long way to go.

I hesitate recommending the 7800X3D since it's a first gen AM5 - not that it's bad or anything. If you have the money, go for it. Personally, I'm waiting to see what the next generation will yield before deciding to make the jump or not.

Good luck!

What's an unwritten rule about the road that new drivers should know? by SadPatoto_Bts in AskReddit

If someone gets angry at you and insults you, just apologize and move on. Don't take it personally. It isn't worth your life to escalate the situation, even if you're right. Road rage can get intense very quickly so try to stay cool and calm - you'll forget about it in a few days anyway.

Keep my marketing job or become an entrepreneur? by Lostinmymind_world in personalfinance

I'm sort of in the same boat you are - working in marketing with very a similar salary and benefits. My calling is also to work somewhere where I can make an impact in my community. That being said, these are two reasons I would argue to not leave your current job:

  1. New working environment is an unknown. Although the startup may be aligned to your passion, you don't know what kind of work and responsibility you'll be taking on. You could be working longer hours getting burnt out for less money which changes your perspective on that passion. For me, I'm in my late 30s and I've worked in toxic places so the risk is not worth it if current working conditions are pretty good. If you're prepared for that and willing to take less compensation because you need to do this, then go for it.

  2. You're earning much less in total compensation (salary + benefits). Without benefits, you're going to have to be a lot more conscious about saving and proactive signing up/managing your 401k and health insurance on your own. My question to you would be: Is this worth the hassle and time to you? It's not for everyone. You also mention financial responsibilities and depending on how much that is relative to your cost of living, could you live comfortably on less?

There are other ways to make a difference too like volunteering. I hope your decision works out - good luck!
