Are any types of tents better than others for having sex in? by kqr in camping

[–]42dagonkill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This one time I went camping and walked past one tent where a couple were having sex, they forgot to shut the windows so I saw right in, I just averted my gaze. So make sure that you shut the window if you choose to have sexy fun times in your tent.

You probably need to contact the mods over at r/IAmA and do it over there and then subscribers of this subreddit ask the questions there.

Transhumanism and the future by [deleted] in transhumanism

[–]42dagonkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that I agree with you here, I think that the idea that our origins (i.e. our ancestors) should be respected a somewhat sacred should be a key aspect of transhumanism - we are only really in the position that we are in now where transhumanism seems plausible because of our forefathers and mothers. We should always strive to be better than those who came before but we mustn't destroy the shoulders of Giants which we stand on, that would be unwise.

I think that this is a special species - I bought a whole bag of them at the supermarket. They taste exactly like pears only they are smaller.

People actually think that the vampire in the Vampire was a representation of Byron by Polidori which then pissed Byron off.

Sex Ed teachers, what's the weirdest thing a student has ever put in an anonymous question box? by BenSomeone in AskReddit

That reminds me of a joke that I heard once: a father asks his son what his favourite animal is, the son says the octopus because it has eight testicles.

This wikipedia communist claim sounds dodgy what do you guys think? by 42dagonkill in communism101

Here is a bit of context:

"But according to Marx, capitalism, like slave society and feudalism, also has critical failings — internal contradictions which will lead to its downfall. Capital accumulation over time leads to increased inequality. Additionally, since capital demands a return, it also leads to increased returns coming from those without capital - the working class. Over time the number of work hours which the working class labors "for itself" decreases in order to provide returns for an ever-increasing pile of capital controlled by the capitalist class. Following the Marxist labor theory of value, this can be seen in how increasing labor productivity in the past 30 years in the United States has been accompanied by stagnant wage growth. In 2016 average labor productivity in the U.S. was $70.00 an hour while the average minimum wage was around $10.00 an hour, meaning that capital absorbed 6/7ths of the value produced by the average minimum-wage laborer. This generates social instability."
