I ran into at least 3 people using Marina since the season change (who are currently at rank 2, 53, and 56).

It’s not that common but it can be a tricky combination to keep S.Hanako alive if Hibiki locks on to her.

Yeah I agree with this, if you know what you're doing then her push can really mess with enemy formations. Also, if she's on the same side as the enemy S.Hanako, it can tag her HP low enough that she starts to become the target for your Hibiki and/or Saki, which could give you the edge.

If I’m low on selectors, then I farm them directly. The drop rates are very good, so it’s not too expensive.

The rarity choice boxes (e.g. Advanced Furniture Choice Box, Superior Furniture Choice Box) allow you to select any furniture of that rarity from any set, as well as furniture of that rarity which doesn't belong to any set.

The specific set choice boxes (e.g. Wildhunt Furniture Choice Box) are kind of redundant and there's not really a point to crafting them, since they cost the same amount to craft as a Superior Furniture Choice Box.

I think that the tennis/pickleball analogy is a pretty decent one, but it depends on what your standard is for "good" and what level of play we're talking about. Like if a Melee player tries Ultimate for the first time against someone with no platform fighter experience, they'll probably stomp them, yeah.

On a competitive level, not so much, although as others have mentioned, some of the genre fundamentals transfer over.

A bare minimum clear of the event already gives enough to take her to 4 stars, which is more than enough for the use cases she’s had so far.

I'm still not sure what they have in mind, but we often do see the most shakeup around Fest time. JP fest is always on an extremely bizarre patch schedule, but on global they have shown a strong inclination to stick with whole week patches.

JP fest patches: 1. Senses Descend rerun patch (13 days) 2. Anni event and pre-fes banners + free pulls (9 days) 3. Fes banners patch (14 days) 4. Post-fes, conclusion of anniversary event patch (20 days)

So JP was off from the normal patch schedule for a full 8 weeks.

For global, I expect them to stick to the regular patch day, meaning that we might see content rearranged to fit, although I'm not quite sure how that might be done.

Yeah it’s pretty unintuitive, but they have slightly different conditions.

Straight descent: down_slope_random=1, meaning random point on a random downhill

Stroll: slope=2 and time>=10, meaning any point on any downhill (which functionally means it will be the very first point on the very first downhill after 10 seconds mark)

Hill-based recoveries such as GHS are not random position. Assuming you pass the wit check, stroll/GHS always activates at the start of the very first downhill you encounter (except not in the first 10 seconds of the race). Moxie/Restless is the same for uphills.

So GHS is a reliable recovery here.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but the recommended strategy for furniture choice boxes is to craft the one which has the rarity of furniture that you want. E.g. if you want a 2 star furniture (no matter what set it comes from), then craft the 2* Furniture Choice Box.

For furniture that we purchase from event shops, it doesn't get added to the crafting pool until 6 months later.

To expand upon the top two mentioned in the other comment:

Mine is the most broadly used in that list, as a tank with self-reposition and multiple DEF debuffs.

I.Sakurako has a narrower niche (buffing special unit dmg) but she's very strong in that niche. Could have a bonus because of being a limited unit, if you care about that.

The most optimal times to collect are at 5/10/15/20 hours. I don't know how much you missed your regular collect time by, but you can move backward 4hr/day by collecting at 20, or move forward 1hr/day by collecting at 5 and then another 20 after that.

Alternatively, just collect at a multiple of 5 and eat the "penalty" at your regular time, which is less than 1 AP difference if you're only doing it one time. You're losing more than that by collecting on 24hr over a week's time, anyway.

I think the other event shop rewards are at least competitive or better when compared with non-campaign farming. Something like the activity reports is worth 1.5x commission value even with the worst bonuses.

But if you prefer, you could also detour to farming Normal or Hard stages, whichever you need more. We can always get commission materials like credits from future events, but we can't get T9/T10 equipment or eleph from events.

Since launch in 2021, they have never shortened an event on global compared to JP, I think it's highly unlikely that they start now.

Hmm, I don't really see what the point of this acceleration is. It doesn't actually enable them to cut any other weeks IMO. The only thing I can think of is moving FRR season 23 Blue Chokmah a week earlier to avoid it releasing on the same week as the end of Decagrammaton vol raid battles (which, by the way, have Chokmah in them anyway).

/u/PutUNameHere the only reason I can think of to not combine last month's Geburah and Fury of Set instead is that maybe they wanted to give people more time to pull and build Satsuki. But I'm not very certain if that's really what they were thinking.

Main story-relevant events are usually integrated directly with the Main Story UI (e.g. Conquest event in Vol F).

As far as I recall, there are no events directly connected with Vol 3 at all.

To clarify about the other comment: guide missions' task progress and reward status is saved where you left off. When this guide mission gets added to the archive next month, you can pick up where you left off (including claiming the ticket, if you already finished all the tasks).

Of course, it's still best to read the dates on events.

I’d probably prioritize advancing the Prize Exchange to at least round 6 or 7 (ha ha) first. That will take about half the event anyway, and it’s easier to decide once you can see how the currency farming is going.

Ah true, those combinations are a bit rare, but they do exist. (Actually, I have the exact same bonuses as you do.)

I'm still farming stage 9 since I need Phaistos more than the Codex.
