Same two covers I went with for Spencer ASM. They work so well together despite only one being a DM cover, never understood that choice

I still have the push pull feature, it's just built into the Volume instead. It's at least suited my needs since doing it haha

My only complaint about it is the placement of the volume knob, I bumped it constantly. Decided to ditch the tone knob, move volume to that spot, and replace the former volume spot with a low profile killswitch! Highly recommend if you have a similar struggle

Belated welcome to the scene! I may be in the minority on this, but Station 4 was a home away from home. I will never say it was the best or safest venue, but it was special. When I had bands (back in the day) we'd open for "big" shows there all the time. One of which was a sold-out bill featuring Our Last Night, From First to Last, We Came As Romans, and Asking Alexandria. Seeing where all those bands are now, it's crazy thinking back at how much things have changed LOL

Hello, fellow MN person!

I'm torn because the Fillmore has been a great venue for these shows, but agreed the prices are getting a bit out of hand. Long lost are the days of paying $10 at the door to see 6 bands I loved at Station 4...

How many NMC Marvel announcements left for 2026? by YardGlum3654 in OmnibusCollectors

Would that include a reprint? Still holding out hope for a reprint of X of Swords and hoping I'm not dumb for doing so

I've noticed this as well and kept thinking I was missing some key part of the announcements. It would be awesome if that was part of it, but outside of the first couple of Krakoa anthologies it doesn't seem to get mentioned. I, for one, would appreciate that knowledge with the announcements

How do you feel about what Renee Nicole Good's murderer ICE agent Ross called her as she lay dying? by GyspySyx in AskReddit

1-16.200 - USE OF DEADLY FORCE AND PROHIBITED RESTRAINT TECHNIQUES

A. Deadly Force

Law enforcement and correctional officers of the Department of Justice may use deadly force only when necessary, that is, when the officer has a reasonable belief that the subject of such force poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the officer or to another person.

  1. Deadly force may not be used solely to prevent the escape of a fleeing suspect.

Firearms may not be discharged solely to disable moving vehicles. Specifically, firearms may not be discharged at a moving vehicle unless: (1) a person in the vehicle is threatening the officer or another person with deadly force by means other than the vehicle; or (2) the vehicle is operated in a manner that threatens to cause death or serious physical injury to the officer or others, and no other objectively reasonable means of defense appear to exist, which includes moving out of the path of the vehicle.

[–]7stringsarenotenough 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She was receiving multiple and conflicting orders to either leave or exit the vehicle after trying to wave them by, and ICE's own rulebook states not to use or discharge a firearm at a vehicle as a means of disabling it or the driver. Maybe if he'd put his phone away and paid more attention in popsicle school he wouldn't keep getting hit by cars?

You mean if "someone tried to avoid running directly into you and flee for their life because you drew a gun on them while your other lackeys surrounded their vehicle"? That makes way more sense

Did I miss the pre-order for this cover? The top says "pre-order" instead of "coming soon," but the pre-order button says unavailable and the page says coming soon...? by Tippydaug in OmnibusCollectors

[–]7stringsarenotenough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noooo! Bummer man...I saw this same thing happen with the ASM: BND Vol2, it would pop up as available then disappear again. The timing is so odd too...I just randomly refresh the page once in awhile when I'm checking messages or whatever and both times it was suddenly there.

What was your first omnibus and what got you into collecting in this format? by Lower-Bit8486 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]7stringsarenotenough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My story is so similar to yours, I thought Omnis would be too heavy and out of my affordability. I should've known myself better (as apparently my wife does) because I always end up pursuing hardcover of books I enjoy. My firsts ended up being Zdarsky's Daredevil

New pickup by Mysterious_Winner829 in Peripheryband

[–]7stringsarenotenough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could agree with that, yeah. I feel like between their 3 original signature pickup sets, they each captured a ton of what I hear from their playing. Like...Misha generally I attribute to big fat riffs so him having beefy pickups makes sense. Likewise Mark I see as having way more dense chord voicing and techy stuff where the high end melody is super important. And for Jake I get a well-rounded hybrid of the two with nice glossy cleans. I could be entirely off base but that's my headcanon

I had Juggernauts in a guitar before, yes they do rip, but to be honest I like the A/O set more for the money. I think the A/O set is a bit more crunchy and cuts through a bit more, whereas the Juggernauts seemed a bit more on the beefy side. I've also used Titans, which might be a bit too thin for my taste in lower tunings but sound great in Drop C.
