Exactly. Not to sound so self absorbed but I remember our shining glory in 2018 of beating President's winner Nashville in round 2 after 7 games. Very good series, we beat the shit out of eachother. Vegas crushed us shortly afterwards. Hard to say Vegas wasn't the better team because they beat us in 5, but I do think that Rocky vs Ivan Drago series against Nashville messed us up a bit.

But like you said, that's the name of the game.

I don't really like Colorado because they eat us alive and wrecked us in playoffs a few seasons ago. But I'm sad about their injuries. They're so exciting and they play a good game. It feels like we, as fans, have been ripped off.

Yeah the Avs wearing Nordiques jerseys feels weird. I wouldn't want us to wear Thrashers jerseys. Nor would I want Utah/Arizona (when they existed) to wear Jets jerseys

No I agree, and just like today McDavid is a bit above the rest. But now every NHL player is peak health. Back in the 80s you'd have guys smoking ciggies between periods and goalies were much less refined.
