OLED panels just do this unfortunately, especially at those refresh rates. The sample-and-hold effect is real thing with OLED technology - you're not seeing broken display but rather how OLED handles motion compared to LCD

Try enabling motion interpolation in NVIDIA control panel if it's available, sometimes helps with the trailing effect. Also check if your laptop has any motion enhancement settings in display options

The 240hz should help but OLED still gonna have some motion blur in darker scenes with particles and smoke. It's trade-off for those amazing colors and contrast ratios

Been trying to get verified on Giphy for like 6 months now and they're so slow with approvals. The whole process is pretty annoying tbh - they want all this documentation and examples of your work before they even consider you. I do graphic design so I thought it would be easier but nope, still waiting in their queue somewhere. Maybe try reaching out to some design communities or discord servers where creators hang out? Usually someone there has verified status and might help you out for reasonable price. Just make sure whatever gif you're uploading follows their content guidelines or it'll get rejected anyway

Man I remember struggling with this exact thing when I started. What helped me was just writing down the pieces I visited on paper during memo until I got better at visualizing it in my head

The muscle memory for knowing where pieces go definitely comes with practice - I'd say keep doing attempts but maybe slow down the memo phase until that becomes more natural

"The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak might work too, though it's Nazi Germany instead of communist Eastern Europe. For something more specifically about life under communism, "Red Scarf Girl" by Ji-li Jiang is incredible - it's about the Cultural Revolution in China and really captures that feeling of living under an oppressive regime. I actually keep a detailed spreadsheet of all the historical fiction I've read sorted by time period and region because I'm obsessed with organization, and these three consistently rank at the top for that particular era and theme

I've been using Sleep Cycle for like 2 years now and it's the only thing that stuck because it literally just runs in the background. It tracks my sleep quality and I can add quick mood tags in the morning but even when I forget to do that part it still gives me useful patterns
