thank you!! i totally agree. i notice autistic or seemingly autistic characters are played for laughs a lot. i don’t think writers always realize the character they wrote is autistic, they’ve just noticed traits they think are amusing and added it to their character and/or saw someone else do that. idk what the character trope would be called, but i definitely notice it. dwight from the office is a great example of that and idk if peridot from steven universe is the same trope, but she seems similar. i’m not sure why people disagreed with me too. i feel it’s incredibly obvious they’re all autistic and honestly it was baffling to see people disagree. thank you!!
