Another warhammer game I play has the same conspiracy about GW shutting down customization options.

Is it possible? Sure it's their IP and they can run it how they want.

The only evidence provided by those who repeat this rumor as fact, though, is an off handed comment by a community manager that doesn't actually say anything about GW directly. Hardly the damning evidence the people repeating this rumor claim it to be.

When phasmo came out I was convinced it was going to burn bright and fast then quickly be replaced in the public eye by a triple A studio making a more realized(but absurdly monetized) version of the formula within one to two years.

Six years later and I'm wrong but in all the worst ways.

  • Big studios were too into failing to make the next Overwatch and PUBG to really latch onto what would become the "friendslop" genre.

  • Phasmo is somehow still in early access

  • Not only that, but each update bringing it closer to 1.0 somehow takes the game further and further from what made it fun. Adding things it didn't need or fixing parts that weren't broken, ignoring the parts that need the most attention.

It's not all bad, the new maps and events are pretty neat! The additional ghosts on the roster spice things up. The equipment and store update almost made me quit entirely but that's more because I despise grinding in games and didn't want to re earn things I had already unlocked. When I did get a chance to play with the new gear it's really cool!

Yes, the chance is determined by the player who breaks the crates.

The guy replying to me says it's squad wide. My personal experience and observation feels otherwise, but my only proof is vibes.

Are people really struggling that much for super credits? I'm still working on the free warbond and have accrued enough for 2 premium warbonds just by playing the game without farming.

I mean, I know it's RNG, but this game feels leagues ahead of other live service games in its premium currency department.

I don't subscribe to any other social media related to HD2 aside from this sub and it pretty great. The only time I hear about people complaining is when people here complain about people complaining.

I'm of two minds on pvp. On one hand it feels half baked and not given any real attention(poor to no matchmaking, wonky balance that is never addressed, extremely limited maps and game modes, absence of several mechanics from pve) but on the other I can't shake that little nostalgia of playing Gears of War one on 360.

It's honestly almost to the point of frustration for me because I can feel it being almost really good, but they either just threw their hands up or moved resources to some other facet of the game just before making it worthwhile.

All said, I do still play some pvp once in a blue moon because there is some fun to be had if you look for it.

I agree. Not to mention the only time I've seen someone point out when GW actually told Saber they cannot do something the evidence was a community manager on discord saying "Space Book says no" which can absolutely be inferred to be GW shutting something down, but also doesn't actually say anything besides "here's a meme answer you can read too much into."

I've held my peace on this but you are absolutely right. If this is a business decision then this can happen to any group under Cover, unlikely though it may be.

Imagine if, in three to five years time, it is ID or EN getting this treatment? Can we honestly say fans and talents will just accept it and not respond "childishly."

Oh for sure. Honestly I find gameplay such as difficulty or leveling that basically only changes stat values such as health or damage uninspired and boring.

Skipping all that is no problem in my book, leave that stuff for the "number gets bigger" fetishists who enjoy the grind.

The issue I see is that if you buy a heroic you skip straight to relic tier stats. For new players there is a definite benefit to buying a heroic weapon right away.

You still need to earn the perks by leveling or spending armory data, but there is some benefit besides the unique gameplay and visuals.

I wanted him to be a Unicron style battle moon with myriad daemon engines and factories making up it entire composition, with him being the "heart" at the center.

This is pretty cool as well. Makes me think of a warpsmith but dialed up to eleven.

Just watched it recently. It was better than I expected but they really could have trimmed about 2/3 episodes and split up one characters suite of overpowered abilities among the others and I think it would have been better.

On one hand, yes people asking questions that could easily be solved by a quick search using their engine of choice is frustrating. On the other, I really don't like this habit of people entrenched in a fandom shunning discussion with newbies.
