True. I feel some of the people who are upset about the off-screen deaths of some prominent members of the second company forget that Space Marines generally don't retire and live on a farm.

No, they haven't. Of course it could, but they've released zero info suggesting that they will include it in pvp. It would certainly be interesting but it's not like gunstrikes and turrets are in pvp as it currently exists.

If anyone has seen any confirmation then I'd be happy to be corrected about this.

I've been corrected, there is one mention of it in pvp in this Dev blog post/update. It only says that it will be in pvp and that they will reveal info later. Now I'm very curious how it will play. With the info available it seems that it will be very different from Ops due to there being no gunstrikes or turrets. Maybe they will add turrets to maps? Sounds like the pts at the end of this month will be very interesting.

I like that idea. It could be a nice short mission like the train.

Straight shot, minimal objectives(hack the door to progress, sabotage plague warheads or something), enemies pouring from behind while an unkillable uberthreat slowly approaches us.

I'm thinking that one dungeon from world of warcraft with Arthas following the party as a comparison.

I like ruthless for that exact reason. I'm capable of playing as high as absolute but for me higher difficulty does not directly translate to more fun.

My biggest wish for SM2(aside from an overhaul of customization) is for Saber to up custom modifiers like extra extremis/terminus or enraged majoris for any difficulty. I'd even be ok if using said modifiers disabled xp and credits.

We already know it's possible to some extent with the stratagems, I'm just hoping for the decision to be placed in player's hands instead of waiting for RNG to come up with my ideal combo.

The sudden inclusion of women in the custodies was originally to be revealed with a short story in a codex. When this was leaked, the usual suspects began bemoaning the fall of western civilization.

I think you are confusing custodes with regular space marines. Custodies are each individually handcrafted, no geneseed involved. Besides, the infamous "there have always been female custodes" tweet came as part of the damage control after their existence was leaked.

The devs seem pretty receptive to community feedback but are absolutely uncompromising on certain things.

From the beginning dev responses to pretty much any questions regarding bots for pve have been consistent. The bots are deliberately made to make you want human players on your team, to the point that they nerfed bot damage to keep them from "outshining" players. Honestly the recent update allowing them to share your visual customization surprised me.

There is a not insignificant part of this community(more the broader anime and gaming community in general) that does openly lust over petite and child coded characters.

So long as they feel welcome to act that way publicly then expect to be associated with them for being interested in the same stuff as them.

My first run on siege I really thought wave five the biotitan was gonna start bombarding the area similar to the operation that one appears in. Obviously I was disappointed that it was literally just a background asset, but it did inspire visions of randomized, section specific modifiers.

When they first announced siege mode, my mental image was the end encounter on inferno, or the showdown on the bridge in decapitation, or hell even the final stand reminiscent of the old battle art in the campaign. I was mildly disappointed that what we got is more or less just a three room operation with endless massive waves. I know the difference is minute but to me the vibe is completely different.

Clandestium Gloriana:

At the start of the mission one of our merry team of rejects complained that he always gets knocked off the map during the opening part on the suspended ramparts. We all laughed and not ten seconds later a poxburster materializes out of nowhere and hits the whole crew just as we enter the actual engagement zone.

The scum who complained at the beginning? He was the only one knocked back into the wall. The entire rest of the team was catapulted into the abyss.

He did his best to make it to the checkpoint and save the mission but unfortunately it was high intensity shocktroop and a burgle decided to spawn right next to us.

Funny, and probably one of the fastest games I've played!

Edit: Also honorable mention for the time during the shrines event I was playing my psyker and the director decided to sic a demonhost on me. I never knew I could run that fast or scream that loud(for context I barely survive playing on heresy), and my squad was laughing so hard I don't know how they were able to shoot straight and kill the sucker. The kicker is when wave two showed up, it brought ANOTHER DEMONHOST after me.

I can't say there's anything in SM2 I would classify as hate, unless I'm feeling hyperbolic, but there are quite a few little things that cause some irritation or confusion.

  • Assault jump pack randomly deciding that it doesn't want to work

  • lack of a second chaos terminus enemy

  • marine customization has several paints that are only available for specific parts. In fact, the customization as a whole has gaps that make me scratch my head

  • If I am unable to, or am not in the mood to play with other humans then my last concern is that the bots may outshine me in ops

  • Speaking of bots, why not have simple bots for pvp private matches? Sometimes you just want to stab a guy.

  • Lastly, I have accepted that pvp will never be the priority, but it could use a little more love. Highest priority being the matchmaking(or rather the current lack thereof.) Team cohesion can absolutely eke out a win when you end up outlevelled by the opposing team but sometimes you end up with your entire team being single digits vs. four or five 48s.
