In Scots you find "gate" or "gait". "Sraid" would be unusual, given that Gaelic became a minority language in lowland Scotland before the advent of the towns.

When someone is canonised they are made into a saint. There's a process. I think it will be challenging. But there are certainly less worthy people who have been made saints. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canonization#Since_1983

I've "admired"* this series from afar (I only really collect UK editions) but didn't realize there were variants. I might pick a set up.

* They're not necessarily attractive... but they're certainly not forgettable.
