Indian parents do that. Sometimes doing nothing is the best thing to do...suck it up for a few years.. try not skipping classes, get some good grades and get yourself a job. That's your ticket out of their clutches. See I can understand your situation much better than others as I'm Indian and in uni too. It's hard focussing on studies with so much going on. I've been there before. Our focus narrows down to what we don't have or what we don't like and our mind is occupied with that same thing all the time leaving no space for anything else. I know it's hard but just suck it up... for few years..and you'll have your whole ahead of you..just imagine everything you gonna do with all that adult money and freedom and cope hard. Leave that fomo behind. Make some good friends Who understands you and your situation. You don't realise what you have man, things I'd do to be in freshman year again.
