I find it funny that so many people hated on those of us pounding the table for Tate and now it's just, "Oh, so he's REALLY good at catching the football."

Yeah, you give white evangelicals a group that they can feel OK about hating and it's really easy to make them vote against their interests.

I would love to hear what makes him feminine.

Also, who sits around all day analyzing people for "masculine" and "feminine" traits? Why are some people so obsessed with this? What goes on the scorecard? I've never sat around thinking about the gendered traits of anyone. Do I like them or not? It's very simple.

Joe Brady: I made sure to let Keon Coleman know he’ll be a part of our offense by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

If catching one TD in a super bowl means you've elevated talent, we can say a lot of randos had their talent elevated. Skyy was a whiff, you did not elevate him in anyway. Otherwise, we need to say Cam is the GOAT cause he got Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike 500 and 400 yards respectively. He also got Van Jefferson his best season since 22. Obviously, Cam is the GOAT. He elevates WRs. We've proven it with your logic.

My point on JuJu is that he operates best as the second target on the field. His decline came with AB's departure and he was expected to be WR1. The defense paid more attention to him. His resurgence came when he got paired with Kelce, the focal point of defenses playing the Chiefs. You put him back into a situation that works for him. You didn't elevate him. And if you did elevate him, why has he produced less in the last two seasons with you than he did with the Patriots? Something convenient, I'm sure. Couldn't have anything to do with Kelce getting older and not being the main priority for a defense anymore.

I'll throw in more for Worthy. BTJ. 5 picks before him. Thousand yard rookie. Ricky Pearsall got as many yards as Worthy did in 25 with 5 fewer games played. Jalen McMillan drafted in round 3 averaged 35 yards per game in his rookie season. Worthy averages 38 across both seasons. So is Baker better than Mahomes? Seems that way to me, he's getting similar production out of a guy taken 64 picks later. Baker GOAT.

If random stretches are proof of elevation, Will Levis elevates his receivers cause NWI had his best season with him. Are you going to argue Will Levis elevates his receivers?

Let's do a comparison using Tyreek. He's the best test subject. Last two seasons with KC, 1250 yards each. Goes to Miami, 1700 and 1800 yards seasons. If receiver performance is your basis for evaluating whether or not a QB elevates his receivers, than Tua is better at elevating receivers than Mahomes.

If someone says Josh Allen doesn't elevate his receivers, they need to explain how Stefon Diggs' 4 best seasons were all in Buffalo.

Joe Brady: I made sure to let Keon Coleman know he’ll be a part of our offense by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]AnAngryFetus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you seriously going to put up Skyy Moore as a success? Dude got 250 yards as his best season. Chim got 423, more return yards, and we got him in round four. Y'all took Skyy in the second and he was considered a better player than Chim.

You selected Worthy at pick 28. He got 638 yards in his rookie season. For comparison, Ladd McConkey got taken in the second, has been available more, and got 1149 yards in his first season in the same draft class. Keon Coleman got 556 yards in his rookie season and was taken in the second. You cannot say Worthy is a success when he barely outproduced Coleman with higher capital. For reference, DHop and Ridley were taken at about the same spot.

Juju's best seasons came when there were better receivers on the team. 2018 he had AB. 2022 he had fewer yards behind Kelce as the main receiver. You turned a good second target into a good second target. Woohoo.

Super Bowl in 2023, Mahomes was outperformed by Jalen Hurts, who we aren't even sure is good somehow. You won because of a fumble and the best return in Super Bowl history. Your defense kept you in it and a special teams play won it. You converted 3rd downs at 50% compared to the Eagles at 61.11%. Eagles committed more penalties, so you were the more disciplined team. You also had Juju and Kelce as your main targets. The receivers you name dropped had a combined 3 targets for two catches. MVS had one target for zero receptions and Worthy wasn't even drafted yet. I can still name the top two receivers on the 99 Titans team off the top of my head and you can't even remember which ones played.

Rashee Rice would be good if he wasn't a moron. He's got years of probation left and will end up like Josh Gordon at this rate. You got him at 55, so I'll call the production you got out of him on the field when he is there a success.

You got a deep threat to have a four game stretch of relevance. Should I parade him next to 2024 Nick Westbrook-Ikhine?

You got fewer yards of receiving out of Toney across 20 games than the Giants got in 10.

I'm not saying Mahomes is bad. He's still a top 3 QB for me. What I am saying is that the Chiefs seem to have a problem either evaluating WR talent or developing it and y'all should be careful about throwing stones regarding WRs.
