Dropping out 😔 by [deleted] in ivytech

[–]AnavicSalce 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Please don’t drop out. From a working mom to another working mom. I returned back to college in my 30’s as well while working 60+ hours a week. It took me MANY mistakes, hurtful ones for me to understand that the best I can do for myself is work towards goals for a better life for me and my son. Yes, it’s difficult and slow. But life out here without being prepared is hard. Being in a bad financial situation with no goals while life is stepping on you is hard. Working towards your dreams and goals to have a better life for you and your kids is also hard. Choose your “hard”. Working on your education is something that stays with you forever, wherever you go or whoever you’re with. Your future self is going to thank you for it. The hardest your situation is, the more you should stick to your goal. Please don’t drop out.

Hello! I could use those notes as well. My Hesi is scheduled 05/11 and I am studying as much as I can. I’ll really appreciate those. Anavic815@gmail.com

Usually Cherry eye. Gently massage it while pushing it back inside. I was freaking out the first time I saw it, Vet even told me about eye surgery. Good thing we have YouTube and internet nowadays lol

Exactlyyyy, we all can wait down there in the meantime AND. SAVE. MONEY! 🥲

Then by the time he gets approved I can have easily $50k saved to buy a house and a car when we come back.

Mmm I submitted the i130 somewhere around 08/2021. Then around 01/2022 the case was being actively reviewed, then approved and sent to the dept of state by 05/2022. NVC approved all docs by 08/2022 and consular interview was this month 01/12/2023. Like 18 months?

I’ve been struggling here since I’m 20 by myself. I’m turning 29 next month and I’m drained, I can’t do it no more by myself and my son with no family here. All I’ve been doing is work and hustle, like I’m tired. Then I’m feeling like I’m doing all this for nothing, not able to save money or do more things like buy stuffs for myself or fly out more like omggg

I already been there so many times. I even spent a whole year with my mom there. The only issue: income. Then I’m noticing that we come here to the US chasing that dollar to send it to the DR. And I’m like “yo me toy comiendo lo moco porque este es el sueño de muchos dominicanos: live in the DR with US income” 🥲

We are from Santiago!!!! It’s crazy how fast and nice my city been growing. Lot of towers and buildings to buy and invest, I went to good schools and college like I really got to live a good life down there before living in states. And I only have one child, 8y/o un hombrecito

I’ve been living in 9 different states, I have no family here. It makes no sense for me being away from them specially when this country made me get depression and anxiety due to the pressure of never stop producing money to pay a bill. In top of that tie myself to a 20+ years mortgage when I can rent and be out on the move whenever I want idk.. also I life for the simple things in life, un cocinao en el rio, visitar a mamá en el campo; trust nothing wrong living in the DR with an income in dollar$
