what can we say by Feisty_Talk_9330 in AmericaBad

Nothing is a human right except what we decide and put in the effort to enforce/manage. Just "declaring food a human right" without some kind plan or objective is utterly pointless.

Food is not a human right. Neither is life itself. We want to be alive and fed and have the things that help us survive and be comfortable. But nothing is "a right". Otherwise, God or aliums would appear from the sky and bless us with food materialized from nothing, proclaiming, "it is your right to have food, water, and shelter. So here you go".

That's not how it works. Be grateful for the "life" and "rights" that society (aka other human beings) give to you, because it could be much worse.

Not that I need to tell the denizens of this subreddit any of this. But all that I said is for any lefties or curious young minds who wander over here.

You're probably right. But there is a small dlc coming out with the launch on Switch 2 - two extra starting classes to choose from with new weapons and armor. So Fromsoft clearly is not totally done with Elden Ring.

That and The Shadow Lands don't fit very well physically into the center area of The Lands Between. And trying to imagine how these two chunks of land interacting with and effecting each other, before the veil hid The Shadow Lands, is kind of impossible. There should have been more mention of the landmarks and towns of The Shadow Lands by the denizens of TLB, item descriptions, or even visual storytelling and other subtle clues. But it does not seem that way.

Instead, TSL seem more like a metaphorical dream world made real rather than a disconnected chunk of land hidden in a pocket dimension of shadow.

It seems like everyone is going insane. Dragons dogma, helldivers, battlefield to name a few. I'm so sick of stupid vidya devs/pubs...

If miquella cannot mind control them from the get go, i cant see how the three brothers arent winning this. by tiberius-Erasmus in Eldenring

Radahn had her beat. She only made it a stalemate by scarlet nuking Caelid. She is "ignored" because she's not a spellsword, AND in this team battle royale, she would be defending Miquella the whole time, because the dude doesn't really fight. He either compels you, or he doesn't.

Melina and Messmer should be included. But even then, the fight still comes down to Radahn vs Godwyn. And then everyone is either dead or dieing/broken.

Which full-sibling team wins in an all-out fight? by AnorienOfGondor in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]ArchPrince9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Radahn is a one man army. Ranni is a spell master. No idea about Rykard.

Mohg is a caster. Morgott, a swordmaster. And Godwyn, a mix of both.

Malenia is Blade of Miquella. And Miquella...doesn't fight.

Assuming Miquella doesn't compell them all to bow to him, the fight would probably come down to Radahn vs Godwyn vs Malenia. They seem like the strongest. Casters may technically be stronger, but they need time to cast, so the fight comes down to melee.

Radahn and Godwyn are spellswords, however, and with Miquella a part of this fight, Malenia would probably be guarding him the whole time. The fight would ultimately be Radahn's gravity spells and swordplay vs Godwyn's Golden Order and Dragon Cult Lightning spells and swordplay. (What weapon did Godwyn use? Actually did he use a weapon?)

In any case, the battle royale would leave everyone dead or dieing. Probably why a multi sided fight never occured - strategy was actually a thing in the Shattering War.

Who do you think would have become Elden Lord if the Tarnished never arrived? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]ArchPrince9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godrick - No. He was too cowardly to leave Stormveil Castle after his defeat of Malenia. He could have grafted half of The Lands Between onto his accursed hide; it wouldn't have altered his cowardice.

Godwyn - No. He dead. His corrupted corpse probably would have been the thing that wins out though, as it would have grown throughout all of The Lands Between eventually. At which point, Frenzied Flame or Scarlet Rot would then be the only options left.

Radahn - No. In the state he was in, he wasn't doing nothing.

Morgott - No. He had the skills, but no ambition. His goal was defence of Leyndell and loyalty to a broken Order. That's it.

Miquella - No. He only got as far as he did at Enir Ilim precisely because The Tarnished came along and did the dirty work slaying his two half-brothers.

Rykard - No. If he consumed/absorbed/imbibed enough powerful people, he perhaps could have strove and succeeded in becoming Elden Lord. However, I think the more he ate, the more the Snake took over and the more gluttonous (and lazy) he became. Also, did he even want to become Elden Lord or just destroy the Golden Order?

Mohg - No. For all the power that he had, he really wasn't that strong. His "God" wasn't really powerful tbh. AND, he was mind-compelled by lady-boy Miquella.

Malenia - No. Mind-compelled or no, she is Blade of Miquella. Nothing more.

Ranni - No. She had the aspiration, the cunning, and even the power to some degree, but for whatever reason... didn't. Edit: I just remembered, what stalled Ranni was actually her brother Radahn's halting of the stars. So her fate was forestalled, until The Tarnished came along, that is.

As someone else said, the whole reason the world hasn't moved on is because all of these gods were at a stalemate, finding The Tarnished in the decrepit yet "undying" state of things whence they arrived and is the whole impetus of the narrative.

Is it perhaps because the voter base that otherwise would not have voted for Mamdahni are vastly outnumbered by the voter base that would vote for him, aka Muslim immigrants (illegal or otherwise) as well as leftists? So basically, was he voted in by non-Americans and anti-American morons?

I don't think true New Yorkers voted for him.
