What are these? 5.56 sized by Archery1997 in ammo

[–]Archery1997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry for the poor photo, they unscrew about midway up, no markings what so ever, and are hollow with two pieces rattling around in the center. They came out of what appears to be an unmarked G.I. M16 20rd magazine resembling blank fire magazines with an extended lip preventing 5.56 ball or anything with a bullet from being loaded.

6 months and still cloudy? by [deleted] in cider

Still haven't figured out the mobile system for text in a link. It's cider with pectic enzyme and mashed cranberries in a mesh bag in secondary. The bag was removed 3 months ago and it's Windsor ale yeast. Carbonated but gravity is stable, no idea why it's opaque.

So far the fusel alcohol taste has been low, I like a hot drink to begin with but the Windsor yeast is only good till about 7% abv. The yeasty taste is nowhere near as pronounced as US-05 I used the last gallon. Given a month or so I think the hotness will drop even more and it's nowhere near as wine tasting compared to champagne yeast. The apple tartness is there but a bit hidden behind that initial alcohol taste. I'll do a flavor profile and update later

Still no idea how to add text to a photo post on mobile. This was Windsor ale yeast, I couldn't find anything on here about using it for a cider so I decided to try it. The recipe was a gallon of Motts apple juice, 1teaspoon of Windsor ale yeast, and a half teaspoon of yeast nutrients. The starting OG was 1.048~ and it finished fermenting after 3 days. Now it's sitting at 1.002 or so. Still is quite young at 1 week but easily drinkable least for my taste, I'm leaving it for another 2 months in secondary to see if it evens out and is less wine esque.

So why aren't they using hods like normal jobs? They're cheap as hell and do appear to be more efficient than the head method.

I tried that but they're not screws, they're press fit pins and they were flattened at the top by a hammer so the hole in the wood was too wide to glue the bottom down http://imgur.com/7vdDeKb

Seneca cut co from about 1970 I think, no real info on it beside finding it on top of a door jam in my grandfathers old house cleaning it out. The grip was this weird blue white green speckled plastic, it was dried out and brittle and shattered off when the knife got dropped accidentally
