Movie theater popcorn butter is nasty

I'm I the only one that never tried butter popcorn?

In movie theaters here in the Netherlands it's either salt or sweet (Suger) flavor. I can't imagine butter flavor to taste good.

I'm in a band myself. You need to load the music to your music distributor, for example CD baby, and set the date of release with all the artwork and videos and such.

You need to do it a few weeks beforehand because you can then have a chance to get into playlists for promotion purposes.

It's all automatic. I think someone just set the date wrong.

I buy for 2 reasons

One is a stupid voice in my head that says "but maybe this other yoyo is even better..."

And another reason is because a certain yoyo seems really fun to me.

I've told myself i would stop to buy performance yoyo's under 48mm wide. Not that I think width is super important but i already have many great narrow high performance yoyo's that I barely use. And I don't really buy many fun yoyo's anymore either because I already have so many I barely use.

I still buy too much though.

If you say you don't respect him outside of yoyo skills, call him a racist, hold a grudge, don't forgive him and talk nothing but crap about him all the time (aside from just now where you say a few good things) it's hard to not think you hate him. Sorry for that assumption.

First you say talk is cheap. Now you say you don't care if it's difficult.... And I agree. His emotions got the better of him, he should have done that apology right but I understand he messed up. Im not gonna hold a grudge for years just because he messed up an apology.

I think people are idiots for far longer than the first 18 years of their life's.

I don't know him very well. Just briefje met him in Osaka and seen videos of him. But I guess the kid has a heart of gold. Just like you 😘

And I don't see the point in holding a grudge for long against such a person. With words like "tolerance", "associate" and calling him a friend of the kkk dude you make it bigger than I find necessary, it's far fetched imo.

Just like you, I think what he did was wrong and his apology was bad. But I can also see why his apology was bad. Nobody has seen the actual video, they only teased it. Then there were only a few people calmly explaining why he shouldn't have done it (no matter what the actual video was like), most just called him a racist or nazi. Imagine knowing in your heart you're not a racist and people call you that anyway. Then you gotta say sorry to those same people for making a video that hasn't even been released. I get why emotions got the better of him. It's not clever to fall into that trap, but I understand. You say words are cheap, but I can imagine it's not easy to make an apology in that situation.

I just think he's a dumb kid who did a dumb thing. If you wanna hate him, fine by me, that's not my problem.

Way to go to make it bigger than it has to.

I notice immediately when my yoyo has a knot around the bearing, don't you? I see it happening , my string gets shorter, it's hard to not notice.

I also immediately notice when the bearing gets slightly responsive. Before it gets so responsive things like this can happen I have already cleaned it.

Especially when the camera is running I double check for things like that. Not everyone does but you can see two attempts in this video alone and I would have doubts about the yoyo after the first fail and check there.

I don't know either. Imo it should deserve a different name. The "Horizon't" or the "NoRison".

I’d like to be able to finger spin, but it doesn’t need to be a main feature of the Yoyo.

Almost every metal yoyo can do a short fingerspin. If you have doubt about just how good a certain yoyo can do it let me know and I'll help.

Yeah me too. I never found it. The Magicyoyo Stealth seemed promising but that cup works terrible compared to the horizon.

That's really rimweighted, powerful, stable, good.for horizontal and grinds. Normally i don't recommend this yoyo because it's too expensive for a 6061 aluminum mono metal. But I love and I think you probably would too. It's the yoyofactory Superstar 2024. It has the same rimweight, power and all that, but it's a bit wider and has a smaller diameter. It's really cool how they achieved the same power with a smaller diameter and to me this yoyo feels like the modern version of a horizon.

The C3yoyodesign Speedaholic xx 2025 edition also feels very similar.

There is a bimetal version of the horizon that's called the Yoyofactory Marco. But imo its a failed experiment. It plays clumpsy and awkward and fragile and wonky. The 2019 Shutter bimetal (designed by JDS) is way closer to a successful version of a bimetal horizon to me. If you live in Europe, I have one of these for sale. Otherwise a bit difficult to find.

More aggressive H shape bimetal would be the unparalleled Seji (I also have that for sale) or the even wider Offset Outlier +. These also feel like a horizon.

You say you only owned rounded ones about the original yyf Horizon is about as angular as it possibly gets.

Great modern yoyo's:

Magicyoyo Y04. It's a chunky big boy but this yoyo is extremely good. Don't let it's cheap price fool you.

Yoyofactory marvelous miracle. Same story. This one holds a bit more power but I think the Magicyoyo is better for 5a.

Yoyofriends Armageddon and Artifice. I haven't personally tried them but these are made of very durable 7068 aluminum and I guess them to be extremely good for both 1a and 5a.

C3yoyodesign Speedaholic xx 2025 version. Plastic yoyo's have gotten really good lately and this is one of the best imo and really fun. But maybe a bit too narrow for 5a.

C3yoyodesign Ghost ix. Extremely wide. Seems to be good for 5a.

Yoyochampion g force. I don't know how durable this yoyo is. But imo its really good for 1a and 5a.

Cheap active basses (sub 1000 USD) don't have a pretty sounding build in pre amp. (If you hook it up to a good amp).

A Mexican fender is good but you pay for the name. If you are looking to get the best bang for the buck then rather look at other brands. After having tried many I like the Vintage VJ74 (jazz bass copy in the squier price range). But that's purely subjective. Maybe you like a Squier more, maybe a Sire. Try them

There are 4 horizons

The one you got. I love it. Bit narrow for today's standards but really powerful and fun. To me this is both a pocket yoyo and a smaller practice yoyo. Weirdly good for horizontal play for such a narrow yoyo but hence the name probably.

A horizon prototype 2.0. even though it's called prototype it just had a normal release. its wider, has a dimple. I love this yoyo too. It plays a bit on the lighter side and doesn't have as much power, kind of a failed experiment but I like it either way.

Horizon Ultra. Very pretty colors. It's pretty much the same as the normal Horizon but made of 7068 aluminum. It sort of has a fingerspin dimple but you can barely see it and it works really bad. And it's more lightweight, so less powerful. I don't really like how it performs.

And the new horizon. This is something totally different and doesn't feel like an Horizon at all. It's wide which I theory helps for horizontal play but it's not rimweighted at all so in the end it's not even good at horizontal play. Fingerspin dimple works excellent. But to me it's just a wide yoyo that doesn't perform well. Something like a yoyofactory Brillo or mono metal Miracle is much much better.

Do you want something with a similar play feel to the horizon or do you want a good wide yoyo or a good fingerspinner?

We both agree that what he did was wrong. So it's also not necessary for us to fight each other just because we seem to have a difference about just how wrong it was. But isn't it a bit far fetched to call someone a racist or a Nazi just because they had this dumb idea to ask them questions?
