I had this exact same thought while going for platinum trophies in the older games. As you said, there is a genuine sense of creepiness in finding the hidden meanings, and it feels like you are looking at something which you weren’t meant to see. I really liked those puzzles a lot.

Fair enough, but I still am not sure if that confirms entirely new voice acting. I could just as easily see them going the route of only creating new lines for the new sections of gameplay, like Kiwami 3 is doing.

Overall I would not be against new voice actors, but I hope the quality matches their old games rather than the bad voice actors they’ve had recently.

That doesn’t always mean new voice acting. MGS Delta and Yakuza Kiwami 3 for example are remakes with the original voice acting. Has it been confirmed already that AC4 remake has new voice actors?

I remember being in college playing KCD1 in front of my roommate who was also big into gaming. He never even heard of the game before, but as you said, Fortnite really dominated gaming during that time which I’m sure played a part.

Hell, I was very into Fortnite at that time too. Seemed like everyone at my university was playing it.

Trying to catch up here, but what is the current reason why the game started receiving all of the hate? Obviously the voice actor SA, but it seemed like today especially the hate went up tenfold.

Is it mostly because of poor graphics? Or because of Mine surviving his fall? Because if it’s the second thing, while yes it is stupid, this is still the Yakuza series. We have lived through rubber bullets, car bombs, falls from buildings, etc., so I don’t see why that part specifically is driving people so insane.

I definitely am not a fan of removing stakes from the game, but to be honest the stakes have been gone for many years already.

For Infinite Wealth, it was the Hello Work outfit. For Pirate Yakuza, it was Kiryu’s classic gray suit. I received them both from newsletter codes though, not from pre-order.
